This stunning antique Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold Suffragette pendant is Circa 1900.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!

The beautiful pendant is adorned with a large green 2.80ct Peridot in the centre surrounded by a halo of creamy Pearls in a lovely floral setting.

The Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty and was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.

The piece is also decorated with violet Amethyst’s which are 0.10ct each and accompanied by a lovely Pearl dropper.

Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty which has adorned regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
